Childrens Ministry

Children are a gift from the Lord;  they are a reward from him.  Psalm 127:3
 
At Blue Ridge Church of Christ we are blessed with many children.  From babies to tweens, we want children to experience a safe and loving environment that nutures spiritual growth.  The Children's Ministry Team is dedicated to helping parents lead their children to Christ and encourage them to grow in their Christian faith.
 
Our Nursery is for infants to two-year-olds and is partitioned to accommodate the active needs of toddlers and to provide a safe area for infants.  The nursery is staffed during each regularly-scheduled service.  
 
"Tots for Jesus" is our Preschool program for ages two and three years.  At this young age, the foundation is laid for a life-time of learning about Jesus.  Toddlers are taught Bible lessons and age-appropriate Bible verses each week.  Music, crafts, activities, and play-time reinforce the lesson and help to keep active toddlers engaged.  Tots for Jesus is a fun, interactive environment where toddlers are introduced to the Bible and Jesus' love for them. 
 
Elementary programs at Blue Ridge include Pre-K to 5th grade.  Childrens Ministry for elementary ages focuses on knowledge, interactive learning, and fellowship to meet the growing needs of school-aged children.  Sunday School is where your child methodically explores Bible stories and memorizes age-appropriate scriptures.  Children's Church is theme-driven and includes exciting characters and game show activities.  Wednesday Nights, or "Freindsday" Nights are acitvity based and designed to give children opportunities to develop friendships and use their unique gifts in service to the Lord.  
 
We want your child to look forward to church each week.  Our hope and prayer is that at Blue Ridge, children will discover the joy of knowing Jesus.
